Provide Windows Server 2012/2016 support to include: 
  • Maintain server and storage availability and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and repair system outages/down/unavailability/etc. to maintain compliance with applicable Service Levels.
  • Communicate status of outages to PHNSY&IMF (e.g., system down notifications, status reports on expected restoration, system up notifications).
  • Provide monthly reports including details of outages and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Perform all routine and periodic checks and validations, in accordance with applicable requirements and PHNSY&IMF processes. These include, but are not limited to: daily reviews of logs for anomalous or malicious activity; evaluation of logs and status for indications of degraded or impeded performance, etc.
  • Validate backups are being satisfactorily completed per PHNSY&IMF policy and configuration.
  • Maintain a record/log of satisfactory backup events.
  • Process service tickets (e.g., ITSM), as they relate to the proper and efficient operation of applicable systems, to maintain applicable Service Levels.
  • Support all system (CSAS, RMAIS, MRMS) updates, upgrades, changes.
  • Develop, generate, maintain, and contribute to documentation (e.g., procedures, instructions) that pertain to and are applicable to managed systems.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and participate with audits, auditors, and other program reviewers to facilitate compliance and resolution of issues for applicable, managed PHNSY&IMF systems.
  • Provide support and applicable data/information to facilitate emergency response plan testing and execution (e.g., COOP, Contingency Plan, backup and recovery).
  • Provide support and applicable data/information to the Maritime System Environment (MSE) efforts, including data calls, data transfers, system management, etc.
  • Manage server configurations:
  • Conform to and follow PHNSY&IMF Configuration Control guidelines (e.g., NSITSAA) such that PHNSY&IMF systems comply with all applicable requirements.
  • Comply with PHNSY&IMF Configuration Management processes (e.g., Configuration Management Board guidelines).
  • Maintain auditable records of system and configuration changes that describe, in detail sufficient to facilitate the reproduction and/or reversal of the changes. These records provide traceability and accountability for all system changes and shall include, at the minimum: name of the person performing the change, date/time of the change, a list of all of the affected assets/servers, pertinent information (vulnerability data, software versions, etc.).
  • Develop, maintain, and update asset records and documentation, including asset/inventory databases and system diagrams.
  • Provide monthly reports including all change records.
  • Maintain security posture of assigned systems:
  • Ensure cyber security system reporting is accurate and up-to-date (e.g., ACAS, VRAM, RSA Archer).
  • Ensure systems are secured per applicable STIG’ s (Security Technical Implementation Guides).
  • Ensure vulnerabilities, as identified in security scans (e.g., ACAS), are addressed (i.e., remediated, mitigated) in accordance with PHNSY&IMF Cyber Security requirements and timeframes. This includes software patching and updating.
  • Ensure Host Based Security System (HBSS) software is installed and operating in accordance with PHNSY&IMF Cyber Security processes and requirements. This includes maintaining security software updates (e.g., signature files) as current.
  • Provide information, data, and documentation, as required, to facilitate accreditations, certifications and approvals for system operation (i.e., Risk Management Framework).
  • Support data collection and information aggregation in support of required requests from internal organizations and external agencies (i.e., data calls).
  • Develop, generate, maintain, and contribute to documentation (e.g., procedures, instructions) that pertain to and are applicable to managed systems.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and participate with audits, auditors, and other program reviewers to facilitate compliance and resolution of issues for applicable, managed PHNSY&IMF systems.
  • Provide support and applicable data/information to facilitate emergency response plan testing and execution

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Special Skills):
  • Secret Clearance and must be able to pass an SSBI.
  • Meet the requirements of CyberSecurity WorkForce (CSWF) model Specialty Area 45
  • Security+ or higher
  • MCSA: Windows Server 2012 or 2016
  • Experience using MS Office apps (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Bachelor’ s Degree with 10 years of relative experience is preferred or equivalent experience.
