Underwriting Coordinator 

Bishop & Company is seeking a temp-to-hire, Underwriting Coordinator to research and prepare information of rate reconsideration requests, coordinate renewals of client accounts, and maintain department databases.
Along with other administrative duties as assigned, this position will collaborate with other departments on rate, health plan and benefits.

Ideal candidates will possess the following minimum qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. College degree; three years of experience in underwriting, administration or a related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education is preferred.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Collaborate effectively and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Medical terminology and insurance knowledge preferred
This position is Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire with a starting salary range of $35K-45K with the following schedule:
  • Monday-Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (1-hour lunch break)
  • In-office every workday during training (minimum 6 months). Once training is completed, a hybrid schedule is subject to approval.
  • Parking: Available in building. We will pay 70% of the cost for. The candidate will be responsible for the remaining 30%, which is currently $80.00 per month and may be paid semi-monthly.
