Job Description
Bishop & Company is recruiting for an onsite, temporary Help Desk Technician for a local company in the IT industry.
As a Help Desk Technician, you’ll be the first point of contact for users needing technical support. You’ll work closely with internal teams to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring users receive timely and professional assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assign incoming support tickets to the appropriate IT teams.
- Respond to help desk calls, gather user information, and resolve issues when possible.
- Manage user assignments to hardware and IT equipment.
- Assist users with locating and backing up files, including OneDrive support.
- Set up and reimage computers for deployment.
- Support users with Java configuration and cleanup of unnecessary files or applets.
- Troubleshoot VPN and network connectivity issues, especially for remote users.
- Use remote access tools to provide direct support to users.
- Solid understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Experience with OneDrive, file management, and remote support tools.
- Familiarity with VPNs and specialized hardware setup.
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a help desk or technical support role.
