Technical Communications & Configurations Specialist (TCCS)

Summary:
Responsible for providing support to Microsoft Office and SharePoint end users, developing training artifacts, technical writing and supporting command-wide collaboration in the Microsoft 365 environment. Supports project management lead and daily operations.  Maintains configuration control of product deliverables, including systems, processes & procedures, continuous improvement initiatives, and management plans & policies. Assists the project manager to deliver effective and efficient product deliverables to meet key project milestones and ensure products and deliverables are in accordance with the DoD and USMC standards. 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the knowledge management process, including establishing priorities and work assignments for daily operations.
  • Track compliance to policies and procedures and resolve or escalate any compliance issues
  • Maintain configuration control of program documentation, program records, program history, meeting minutes, and action items
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Daily Operations & Configuration Management (CM) and provide recommendations for process improvement
  • Perform operational activities as defined by the organizations policies and procedures
  • Identify process improvement opportunities for Daily Operations and CM
  • Create, capture, organize, and assess knowledge assets using CM industry best practices
  • Identify and report on noncompliance situations
  • Review critical incident outage resolution results and provide required responses and dispositions to issues related to the SharePoint Collaboration Site
  • Provide technical support of Microsoft Teams integration with SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Maintain and customize SharePoint Communications and Team sites
  • Develop training artifacts in support of operations, ability to teach large groups and individuals
  • Provide customer support for SharePoint Collaboration Sites
    • Provide Tier II technical support as a SharePoint site collection administrator
    • Configure and troubleshoot SharePoint permissions
    • Create and administer SharePoint site collections
    • Create, customize, and support SharePoint lists, libraries, and Web Parts

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 8 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Active DoD SECRET clearance, or ability to obtain a U.S. clearance

Desired Qualifications:
  • IT consulting, configuration management, data management, research and analysis, knowledge management, product development, and/or project management
  • Knowledge in business processes and IT service management (ITSM) practices
  • Task oriented, ability to quickly learn new technical skills and self-driven
  • SharePoint Office 365 knowledge and/or experience
  • Advanced Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
  • Understanding of change control processes and the process and procedure by which a change is identified, evaluated, approved, monitored, documented, and implemented.
  • Experience with writing technical publications and reports
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be customer and detail oriented and possess good decision-making abilities.
