Bishop & Co. is seeking a Systems Analyst for an excellent client on the island of Kauai, HI. Supporting the IT Department. The Computer Systems Analyst works directly with the IT Operations Manager to assess the current state of PMRF systems and work to implement enhancements to systems, processes, procedures and policies to improve performance and efficiency of the IT department. Participate in Information Assurance compliancy procedures and controls for all PMRF systems.
Responsibilities
Specific assignments and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:
- Provide technical expertise at supervisor and management meetings, which may include necessary planning and scheduling of meetings.
- Solving computer problems and apply computer technology to meet the needs of the organization.
- Defining the goals of the system and divide the solutions into individual steps and separate procedures.
- Assist in maintaining up-to-date Configuration Control and adhere to all Configuration Management requirements for all Firmware, Software, and Hardware associated with the classified and unclassified PMRF networks.
- Must have knowledge of programming or systems analysis. Work with databases, object-oriented programming languages, client-server applications, etc.
- Perform the implementation of Department of Defense cyber security regarding IAVM and SRG/STIG requirements
- Assists with cyber security incidents and resolutions, including root cause analysis and recommendations.
- Collaborate with other teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and cyber security analysts
- Candidate must be capable of working in a team environment and participate in technical activities throughout the project life cycle and maintain a close technical involvement with all contributing organizations.
- Ability to quickly adjust priorities based on mission or projects requirements
- Effective oral/written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Perform other duties as required including property custodian.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Lifting, pushing, pulling 25-50 lbs.
- Work positions requirements: walking, standing, crawling, kneeling, cramped, sitting and repeated stooping or frequent climbing.
- Customer contact, extended workday, confined work area, office laboratory, field assignment, and inclement weather.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or similar discipline is required.
- Years of directly related work experience may be substituted for a degree
- Three years’ experience in related field.
- Advance certifications may be substituted for a degree or experience
- Knowledge of IT systems and advance IT infrastructure concepts
- Must have basic keyboarding skills and aptitude for neatness and accuracy in sorting
- Critical thinking - Proven problem solver
- Must be proficient in report writing, gathering, and analyzing statistics, and using Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point
- Certifications
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT II
- One of the following OS Certifications required within 3 months of start (subject to change based on industry, DoD, or local policy requirements).
- Linux+ or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (Exams MD-100 & MD-101) or Endpoint Administrator Associate (Exam MD-102)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (Modern Desktop Administrator Associate plus Exams MS-100 & MS-101) or Administrator Expert (Endpoint Administrator Associate plus Exam MS-102
- Preferred Qualifications
- Advance knowledge and certification in both Windows Server and RHEL are considered highly desired.
- VMware certification.
- Knowledge/Administration of Trellix, LogRhythm, and MDE.
- Experience with DoD systems and infrastructure.
- Knowledge in Cyber Security Methods and Techniques.
- Knowledge of DoD IT systems, to include Windows, RHEL, and comprehensive infrastructure concepts
- Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret US Government Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a US Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.
Compensation & Benefits
SALARY RANGE: $110K - $120K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
