Job Description
Bishop & Company is seeking a Software Developer for a 6 month contract role with the possibility of extension or direct hire.
***Applicants must reside on the island of Oahu to be considered. No relocation available***
***This position requires TS/SCI clearance, and a credit check are required***
The Software developer writes and maintains source code, creates and maintains software applications and applies framework involved in software releases. Duties include computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved in a software release life cycle and resulting in a software product. Expertise in one or more programming language is required.
Working independently to achieve daily objectives, this position significantly influences operational results or project deliverables. This role is responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical domain and typically mentors and reviews the work of junior technical staff.
Complexity:
This position creates technical solutions through collaboration with internal experts, conducting deep analyses, and understanding the impact on the end product or solution. You will also develop solutions to complex technical problems that require extensive technical knowledge.
Communication:
This role engages internal and client project team members, influencing team members regarding solution design, processes, and approaches.
Leadership & Talent Management:
Provides guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering their development and ensuring high-quality work.
Knowledge:
Requires a deep understanding of principles, theories, and concepts within the technical domain, along with a broad understanding of related specialty areas.
Education & Experience:
Requires a Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
Expertise in one or more programming language is required.
