Sales Development Representative

Bishop & Company is looking for a Sales Development Representative for an account-based firm in Honolulu, HI.

Overview:

A Sales Development Representative plays a pivotal role in driving sales for the company by initiating contact with potential customers through outbound prospecting (cold-calling) or responding to inbound inquiries. They primarily focus on the hospitality industry, targeting hotels provided by the client. Their objective is to identify hotels with sustainability goals and propose funding solutions for capital improvements. The ultimate goal is to schedule appointments with the company's sales representatives by identifying interested accounts with a need for funding solutions. Communication with potential customers occurs via phone, email, and occasionally in-person meetings, facilitating effective engagement and rapport-building.

Position responsibilities:
 
  • Identify the potential needs of the customer, qualify their interest and viability, and create a relationship that will help drive the sale. 
  • Generate a solid lead, the sales development representative will connect the lead to a salesperson. They may set up in-person meetings, or they may arrange for other methods of communication, such as an email follow-up or a phone call. Their objective is to effectively and efficiently connect potential customers to sales staff so that their company profits through sales.
  • Call into targeted accounts to determine sustainability goals and funding needs.
  • Initiate conversations with key decision-makers, including CEO, COO, CFO, etc., to schedule appointments for sales representatives.
  • Utilize networking and relationship-building techniques to establish connections with potential clients.
  • Document all call activities and findings in Salesforce CRM system.
  • Summarize information gathered from successful calls into a one-page write-up for sales representatives to use in appointment preparation.


Requirements:
 
  • Previous sales experience preferred, with a focus on outbound calling.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Salesforce CRM and general office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely in a work-from-home position.
  • Cultural awareness of Hawaii's nuances is essential for effective communication and rapport-building.


Additional Information:
 
  • Position: Temporary Part-time, Approximately 20hrs a week 
  • Location: Remote/work-from-home.
  • Pay: $20-$25/hr- DOE plus bonus
  • Schedule: Flexible within business hours, 7am-5pm, 3 times a week
  • Location: Honolulu, HI
