Bishop & Company is seeking a Safety Specialist on behalf of our client, a leading Hawai‘i energy logistics and distribution company. This new role supports safety, security, and emergency response programs across multi-island operations, with an emphasis on strong safety expertise and 24/7 operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Support safety systems, safe work practices, and incident investigations
- Assist with emergency response plans, drills, and coordination
- Manage safety equipment and SDS databases
- Deliver training and promote a strong safety culture
- Respond as needed during emergency situations across multiple islands
- 3–5+ years in safety, security, or emergency management
- Strong safety background; emergency response experience is a plus
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and experience delivering training/presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint required)
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card within 60 days
- Experience in energy, retail, construction, or fuel storage is a plus
- Prior experience at large-scale energy or fuel distribution companies is highly valued
- Degree not required
- In-office/on-site with interisland travel as needed. Must be reachable/available for urgent situations outside regular hours, as the company operates 24/7.
- Supervisory responsibilities not required
- Competitive salary $100,000 – $120,000 + bonus eligibility, commensurate with experience, budget approved.
