Job Description
Bishop & Company is seeking a Retail Manager to manage all staff and operations for a non-profit organization in Kaneohe, Hawaii!
Summary:
Manages and coordinates activities of the retail store personnel in the management of day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently schedules staff and manages payroll.
- Trains, supervises, and evaluates employees.
- Orders merchandise and controls inventory.
- Prepares sales and inventory reports; adjusts operations accordingly.
- Provides excellent customer service; resolves complaints.
- Ensures adherence to store policies and procedures.
- Promotes and sells merchandise; implements promotions.
- Meets retail quotas and goals.
- Maintains store organization and cleanliness.
- Provides guidance to the supervisory team.
- Ensures store security and safety compliance.
- Attends and participates in meetings.
- Performs other assigned duties.
- Supervises various store personnel.
- Conducts interviews, training, and performance evaluations.
- Assigns work, resolves issues, and ensures compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication and effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Prior supervisory experience running a similar retail store and/or restaurant.
- Frequently lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally maneuver wheeled containers weighing up to 300 pounds.
Minimum Certifications/Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- CPR/First Aid Certification may be required based on assignment of location determined by Safety Department.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract, as well as access to an insured vehicle with current registration and auto insurance are preferred but not required.

- Job Type: Direct-Hire opportunity
- Salary: $41600-$45760, DOE
- Hours: Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift, within the hours of 8:30am – 6:30pm, Monday-Sunday
- Location: Kaneohe, Hawaii
