Bishop & Company is seeking candidates for a Purchasing Assistant opportunity with a health care organization in Aiea, HI.
Purchasing Assistant
Summary: Responsible for processing orders on behalf of the department, including tracking backorders. Ensures orders have been received properly and works with purchasing department to resolve any discrepancies. Provides clerical and administrative support for the department.
Job Duties:

Receives, reviews, verifies and files packing slips.
- Researches and places special request orders. Works with buyers to process the order.
- Informs management of supply related issues.
- Assists in the coordination of product recalls as assigned.
- Reconciles outstanding purchase orders.
- Matches exceptions as requested.
- Conducts audit of supply backorders and follows up with the Patient Service Center(s) and/or buyer to resolve issues.
Qualifications:

- Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of experience in some phase of purchasing, sales.
- Intermediate personal computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and routine database. (Ex. Email, creating letters, formatting data, using tables, inserting objects).
- Computer input skills.

- Temporary Full Time On-site
- Location: Halawa
- Hours: Must be available Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
- Pay: $17.10/hr
