Bishop & Company is seeking a  temporary Project Assistant, Workers'  Compensation Department for a major company in Downtown Honolulu, HI.

Primary Responsibilities: 

* Provides administrative support to the Manager related to the workers’ compensation claims system upgrade and integration with other company systems. 

* Performs data entry and general analysis of various claim information as needed. 

* Prepares and drafts various documents, training materials, and resources in Word, spreadsheets in Excel, and flow charts in VISIO for Manager’ s review. 

* Performs project-related tasks and timely record status and results. 

* Coordinates schedules and logistics for meetings, training sessions, equipment, and transportation. Manages phone coverage and other department needs. 

* Maintains medical privacy compliance and confidentiality of all department discussions, files, and records. 

* Prepares and files various workers’ compensation claim documents. 

* Communicates with internal and external customers and team members via written documentation, e-mail, and phone calls. 


Skills Requirements: 

* Typing minimum of 45 wpm 

* Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, and work well with all levels of the Company and external parties. 

* Excellent analytical, organizational, administrative, and conceptual skills to assess the demands of the job and to recommend proper action. 

* Ability to handle and work with confidential, difficult, and/or sensitive issues while using tact, courtesy, and discretion. 

* Ability to meet schedules and deadlines with thorough, accurate, and quality work products. 

* Demonstrated ability to pick up on technical things quickly, and to learn new skills and knowledge. 

* Ability to remain flexible and perform successfully in a demanding work environment, adapt to rapidly changing priorities, and work effectively and quickly under those conditions. 

* Strong interpersonal skills to work with various groups and individuals. 

* Ability to work independently and accomplish job responsibilities with minimal direct supervision. 


Experience Requirements: 

*  (2-4) general office experience. 

*  (3-4) years of computer experience, with PC based word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation programs, preferably Microsoft Office and VISIO programs.

  • Work hours: Monday through Friday, 7: 30am to 4: 00pm
