Personal Banker – Lihue Branch (Direct Hire)
Bishop & Company is seeking a highly engaging, customer?focused, and goals-driven Personal Banker to join the Lihue Branch team. In this role, you will primarily consult with portfolio clients through needs?based financial planning conversations and serve as a trusted advisor in helping clients achieve their financial goals.
You will leverage the Bank’s products and services and collaborate with internal partners across Wealth Management, Private Banking, Business Banking, Mortgage Banking, and other specialized areas. A key measure of success in this role is the retention and growth of an assigned Personal Banker portfolio. As a valued member of the branch team, you will also support additional operational responsibilities as needed.

You will leverage the Bank’s products and services and collaborate with internal partners across Wealth Management, Private Banking, Business Banking, Mortgage Banking, and other specialized areas. As a valued member of the branch team, you will also support additional operational responsibilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct needs?based financial planning conversations with portfolio clients
- Serve as a trusted advisor by identifying and addressing clients’ financial needs
- Recommend appropriate banking products and services
- Partner with internal specialists to deliver comprehensive financial solutions
- Retain and grow an assigned Personal Banker client portfolio
- Support branch operations and team initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Prior frontline banking experience or equivalent customer?facing experience
- Prior experience cultivating and managing client relationships
- Bachelor’s degree and/or related experience, combined with one of the following:
- 1–2 years of experience in Financial Services or Retail/Business Banking, or
- Equivalent work experience with a foundational understanding of accounting, finance, financial statements, and cash flow
- Prior branch operations experience preferred
- Ability to complete required First Hawaiian Bank training in retail lending, deposit products, and general branch operations within 6–12 months of hire
- Ability to obtain FHB NMLS Certification within 6–12 months of hire
- Must be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) within 6–12 months of hire, upon successful internal certification
- State of Hawaii Life & Health Insurance License
- Valid driver’s license; some travel may be required
Compensation
- Salary: $45,000 – $52,200 annually (commensurate with experience) plus sales incentives
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Saturday: Rotational basis
- (Hours may vary)
