Personal Banker -(Kahului) Maui
Job Description
Bishop & Company is seeking a seeking a highly engaging, customer?focused, and goal?driven Personal Banker to join the Kahului Branch team in Kauai. In this role, you will primarily work with portfolio clients through needs?based financial planning conversations. You will serve as a trusted advisor by identifying clients’ financial needs and helping them achieve their goals through appropriate banking products, services, and collaboration with specialists in Wealth Management, Private Banking, Business Banking, Mortgage Banking, and other areas.
A key measure of success in this role is the retention and growth of an assigned Personal Banker portfolio. As an integral member of the branch team, you will also assist with additional operational responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior frontline banking experience or equivalent customer?facing experience.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience, combined with:
- 1–2 years of experience in Financial Services or Retail/Business Banking, or
- Equivalent work experience with a foundational understanding of accounting, finance, financial statements, and cash flow.
- Prior knowledge of branch operations preferred.
- Completion of required training in retail lending, deposit products, and general branch operations within 6–12 months of hire.
- NMLS certification within 6–12 months of hire following successful internal certification.
- Registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) within 6–12 months of hire.
- State of Hawaii Life & Health Insurance License.
- Valid driver’s license; occasional travel may be required.
- Job Type: Direct-Hire Opportunity
- Salary: Starting salary range of $48,000 – $52,000 per year, based on experience, Plus sales incentives
- Work Schedule: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Saturday: Rotational basis, 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM (Hours may vary)
- Location: Kahului Branch-Hawaii
