Payroll Specialist
Job Description
Bishop & Company is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Payroll Specialist to support a reputable financial institution in Honolulu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist employees and managers by troubleshooting and resolving payroll-related questions or issues.
- Handle all aspects of payroll-related general ledger preparation and reconciliation, including payroll journals, tax reporting, and benefit/payroll tax payments.
- Prepare and distribute required tax documents, such as W2s.
- Coordinate with payroll, HR, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and accurate payroll processing.
- Manage and maintain the organization’s HRIS payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Provide analysis, recommendations, and support for process improvements related to HR and payroll functions.
- Assist with internal and external audit inquiries and data requests.
Experience:
- High School Diploma required.
- Payroll Administrator I: Minimum of 2 years of recent payroll experience required.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
Additional Information:
- Job Type: Temporary Opportunity for 3 months with possible extension.
- Pay: $29.03/hr
- Location: Honolulu, HI 96813
- Parking: not provided
- Schedule: Full time (40 hours/week), Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
