Job Description
Bishop & Company is seeking a proactive and highly organized Office Manager to support a financial firm in the Honolulu area. This role oversees the firm’s day-to-day administrative, operational, and facility functions and serves as a central point of coordination across the organization.
The Office Manager plays a key role in ensuring internal systems operate smoothly, the office environment reflects the firm’s professional standards, and team members are supported in carrying out their responsibilities efficiently. This position requires strong organizational discipline, sound judgment, discretion, and a high level of ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations to maintain efficiency, organization, and a professional work environment.
- Oversee vendor relationships, service agreements, and facility needs, including coordination with building management.
- Coordinate office supplies, equipment, and technology requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison with property management.
- Maintain organized administrative systems, records, and internal documentation.
- Provide HR-related administrative support, including onboarding logistics and personnel documentation.
- Coordinate internal meetings, assigned calendars, and team events.
- Support leadership with administrative tasks, projects, and special initiatives.
- Manage incoming mail, deliveries, and general office correspondence.
- Assist with expense tracking, invoice processing, and vendor payments as assigned.
- Handle sensitive business and personnel information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and help implement more efficient processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. university.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in office management, administrative leadership, or operations support.
- Minimum of 2 years of people-management experience, including direct responsibility for team performance, coaching, and development (demonstrated leadership experience required, not solely a managerial title).
- Experience in a professional services environment (financial services, legal, accounting, or similar preferred).
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and modern AI tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and office management systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Solid understanding of Hawaii’s workforce, business environment, and local work culture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a boutique or client-facing professional firm.
- Familiarity with financial services environments.
- Basic bookkeeping or accounts payable experience.
- Background or exposure to:
- Customer service or hospitality
- Finance or accounting
- Event planning and coordination

- Job Type: Direct-Hire Opportunity
- Salary: $60,000–$80,000 DOE
