Bishop & Company is recruiting for an experienced Audio/Visual (A/V) Technician to support operations at Naval Base Guam for a government contract with our client. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and configure A/V systems including microphones, speakers, projectors, video screens, lighting, and control consoles for meetings, events, and installations.
- Operate and monitor A/V equipment during live events, ensuring smooth performance and resolving any technical issues on the spot.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs to keep equipment in top condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems quickly to minimize disruptions.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to understand A/V needs and offer expert guidance.
- Keep detailed records of equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and event setups.
- Train users and colleagues on proper equipment usage and care.
- CompTIA Security+ certification (required)
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience with A/V setup, configuration, and troubleshooting—especially in conference room environments.
- Familiarity with A/V control systems and related software.
- Experience with large screen display monitor installation and support.
- ServiceNow ticketing experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to support occasional night, weekend, or holiday events.
