Hawaii-Licensed Attorney – Family Law (Hybrid)

Bishop & Company is partnering with a Hawaii based Law Firm to hire a full-time Attorney licensed to practice in Hawaii.
This is a new position created to meet the growing demand for family law services. If you are ready to make a meaningful impact on families in Hawai‘i, this role is for you.

- Work remotely, in Hawaii state — must be licensed in Hawaii and based in Hawaii state.
- Attend evidentiary hearings on the Big Island approximately once every two months.
- Receive full training in family law; no prior family law experience is required.

- Opportunity to hire and manage a paralegal to support your work.
- Handle family law cases and other practice areas as assigned.
- Draft motions, pleadings, letters, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and provide advice, counsel, and representation.
- Review client intake inquiries and manage case workflows.
- Make independent court appearances and handle hearings.
- Collaborate with colleagues, manage case priorities, and adapt to changes while maintaining excellence.
- Apply procedural rules, evidence standards, and family law regulations in Hawaii.
- Must be licensed to practice law in Hawaii.
- Open to candidates from any legal background; family law experience not required. Will provide training on how to practice family law.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively.
- An awesome person with integrity, empathy, and professionalism.
- Location: Hybrid – work anywhere in Hawaii state. Must reside in state of Hawaii before (or shortly after ) hire date.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. HST availability required.
- Travel: Must be able to attend evidentiary hearings on Big Island ~ est. every 2 months. Office located in Hilo.
- Compensation: Salary range: Up to $150K annually, bonus eligible (based on billable hours) -commensurate with experience, budget approved.
