We are seeking a Junior Systems Administrator for a direct hire job with benefits in Honolulu.

Summary


· Functions as the initial contact for incoming IS Help Desk tickets and service requests.
· Assists with the maintenance of employee user accounts and passwords to internal and external computer
systems.
· Assists with management of all Windows systems, applications, file servers, and local area networks.
· Assists with the routine and ongoing maintenance of PC desktops and servers to ensure company computers,
networks and other devices are operating optimally.
· Assists with the development and maintenance of IS policies and procedures.
· Assists with periodic IS reviews to ensure all departments have appropriate access to folders, applications,
websites, and databases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Manages PC workstations, printers and related systems, providing full-scale computer and information services
to all departments. Services include end user (i.e., customer) assistance, coordination of education, server
backups and training; installation, maintenance, and support of client/server business applications.
· Administers the IS help desk system and responds to tickets received.
· Manages and maintains PC systems for the company including software and hardware updates and repairs.
· Assists with troubleshooting network issues and associated equipment.
· Assists with repairs to phone, security, voicemail and related systems in conjunction with vendors to ensure
proper operation.
· Works with other IS team members and vendors to stay current on changes in and improvements to systems.
· Ensures effective system utilization by informing users at all position levels about new technological advances,
program upgrades, and new methods and procedures overall.
· Ensures maximum system availability by establishing and maintaining comprehensive and effective
maintenance and upgrade schedules.
· Works with supervisors and team members to develop and maintain high levels of customer service,
professionalism, individual skills, and effective team approaches to work.
· Provides onsite assistance for hardware and software issues, including upgrades and more complex
configuration/upgrade assistance.
· Works on moderately complex assignments.
· Handles service requests, including:
o Installation and integration - Installing devices including all related hardware and software, as well as
associated integration with existing network and software infrastructures.
o Deployments - Physical relocation of hardware; or hardware or software installations, upgrades, or updates.
o Troubleshooting - Working with users and systems to solve technical types of issues.
· Responds to break-fix assignments and service requests within established service level timeframes. Escalates internally to the IS Manager or the appropriate assignment group when necessary.
· Coordinates with vendors as needed to ensure systems are operating efficiently and effectively.
· Provides assistance and training to users as needed.
· Submits activity and progress reports to the IS Manager.
· Provides backup support to the Unix Systems Administrator.
