Bishop & Company is seeking a Temporary Information Technology Manager (IT) for an excellent client on Kauai.
***Please note you must possess applicable certifications in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M/DoDM 8140.03 to be considered for this role***
This will be an approximately 3-6 month contract assignment.
The Information Technology Manager (IT), under the direction of the Program Manager/Deputy Program Manager, is responsible for the overall management of the Information Technology Department as it supports the overall program
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates within Corporate, DoD, DoN, PMRF, and Departmental IT governance policies, ensuring full compliance with cybersecurity, operational, and administrative directives.
- Exercise independent judgment to determine and implement contractually appropriate actions that align with mission objectives and IT service delivery requirements.
- Provides personnel management and leadership for the IT department, including staffing, mentoring, and conducting performance evaluations in accordance with contract and HR policies.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of IT operations, ensuring that all systems and networks function smoothly.
- Supervise the entire IT staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance to maintain operational efficiency.
- Bachelor Degree from an Accredited University in IT Management, Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT Services, or other related scientific field is required or equivalent work experience.
- Must possess applicable certifications in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M/DoDM 8140.03
- Eight (8) years' experience managing IT systems and personnel
- Good communication, including writing, presentation skills, speaking and active listening.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Advanced leadership and conflict management skills
- Must meet DoD 8570 IAM Level III equal to DoD 8140 Advanced.
- PMP certification is preferred
- Green Belt Certification is preferred
- Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment, and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment)
Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $160K. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
