Head Teller (Pukalani)-Maui
Job Description
Bishop & Company is seeking a highly engaging, customer?focused, and goal?driven Head Teller for the (Pukalani Branch) for a local financial organization in Maui. In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer service while accurately processing customer transactions and supporting branch goals through the promotion and referral of banking products and services. The Head Teller also assists with the supervision of branch tellers and supports overall branch operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience as a Senior Teller or
- Two years of experience as a Teller with cross?training in supervisory duties or
- One year of teller (or equivalent) experience at another financial institution, plus two years of supervisory and cashiering experience.
- Knowledge of financial services preferred, including retail banking, loans, and deposit products.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional, courteous, and tactful demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling transactions and confidential information.
- Ability to manage confidential matters responsibly.
- Proficient in basic math calculations and cash balancing using a calculator.
- Demonstrated sales skills to support business development efforts.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with standard branch operations, procedures, and practices.
- Proven leadership and team support capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple deadlines.
- Strong problem?solving skills, including the ability to resolve complex customer and staff issues.
Additional Information:
- Job Type: Temporary-Hire Opportunity
- Pay: $21.00 to $24.50/hour, commensurate with experience; plus sales incentives.
- Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 4:30PM; Saturday on a rotation basis 8:30AM - 1:30PM (hours may vary) - Location: Pukalani Branch-Hawaii
