Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily payroll processing using Paylocity or similar HCM systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, FMLA, workers’ compensation, and HIPAA compliance
- Maintain and manage HRIS data, reporting, and documentation for audits and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on benefits administration, reporting, and system improvements
- Support onboarding, training, and employee communications related to payroll and benefits
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits with professionalism and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations
- Provide support for compensation data, evaluations, and employee-related initiatives
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing payroll systems
- Strong knowledge of benefits administration and compliance regulations
- Solid understanding of employment and labor laws related to payroll and HR
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with vendors or negotiating contracts is a plus
- HR or Payroll certification (PHR, SHRM, etc.) preferred but not required
