Job Description
Bishop & Company is recruiting for a part-time GIS Technician with a local organization in Honolulu. This is a direct hire role with excellent benefits, including paid employee health plan, retirement, and parental leave.
The GIS Technician will be responsible for collecting GIS data in the field, assisting with producing report graphics, preparing GIS related deliverables for clients, performing geospatial analysis, assisting with GIS asset tracking, along with other duties as assigned.
Successful candidates will possess a high level of professionalism, a willingness to learn and take on new projects, ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Requirements:
The GIS Specialist is a part-time position with an anticipated 20-30 hours a week after training. There may be potential for full-time work based on candidate qualifications and business needs, but is not guaranteed.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, half days

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Geography, Forestry, or related fields.
- At least one year of GIS experience,including with cartography and geodatabases.
- At least one year of using GPS (Trimble, Arrow, Spectra, etc) in the field.
- Highly proficient in ArcGIS Desktop, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox, ArcGIS Collector, ArcGIS Pro.
- Google Workspace, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat experience.
- Experience with MS Access, SQL, or Python is a plus.
