Job Description
Bishop & Company is recruiting for a skilled Credit Manager to join our client's team. Work sites include both Honolulu and Hilo offices. Candidates on Oahu and Hilo will be considered for this role, but must be willing to travel to between Oahu and the Big Island multiple times during the week.
This is a 100% on-site position. No relocation assistance provided.
Overview
As a Credit Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the company's credit granting process, evaluating creditworthiness, and establishing credit limits. You'll work closely with sales, finance, and legal teams to ensure timely collections and maintain positive relationships with our customers. Your expertise will help navigate complex credit scenarios, resolve disputes, and build strong professional relationships with customers.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management, credit analysis, or accounts receivable
- Strong knowledge of credit risk evaluation, financial statement analysis, and collection practices
- Proficient in computer software, Excel spreadsheets, and word documents
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Nice to Have Skills
- Familiarity with trade credit insurance and international credit evaluation
- Experience in wholesale or manufacturing industries
Other Requirements
- Office-based with occasional travel, if required
- May involve extended hours during critical reporting periods or customer escalations
- Requires the ability to work at least two Saturdays a month.
- Must be able to work schedule determined by supervisor
Location: Honolulu and Hilo, HI
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 annually
