Job Description

Bishop & Company is searching for a Project Engineer for a great client.  The Project Engineer we are seeking is a detail-oriented and proactive team member to support the execution of construction projects from design through completion. This role involves technical documentation, client coordination, and collaboration across multiple stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of each project.
***Candidates must reside in Oahu and be available to interview immediately***

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and implement project plans and specifications accurately
  • Develop and maintain detailed Bills of Materials for all assigned projects
  • Craft functional narratives outlining the intent and purpose of each project
  • Organize and manage project documentation in line with company standards and project-specific guidelines using designated project management tools
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout both design and construction phases
Required Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of experience in a construction-related industry such as design, consulting, engineering, construction management, or general contracting preferred
  • Hold a degree in a science-related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; experience with CRM, ERP, or project management software is a plus
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Ability to read, understand, and extract data from contract specifications.
  • Skilled in producing quotations, purchase orders, and submittals
  • Excellent communication skills for building rapport with clients, vendors, and project teams
  • Capable of adapting to evolving conditions and solving problems independently
  • Able to self-manage work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Willing to attend coordination meetings and conduct jobsite visits as needed
Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $60K-$80K.
This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
