Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience that provides the ability to perform the job is required.  Minimum eight (8) years of experience within the Information Technology space directly related to information security policies, procedures, and technical systems in order to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, security, availability and compliance of all global organizational information systems.   


Job Summary

The Director, Network Security and Infrastructure is responsible for all activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization' s global data and network infrastructure security and privacy program.  Director, Network Security & Infrastructure is expected to interface with peers in the Information Technology department as well as with the leaders of the business units to both share the corporate security vision with those individuals and to solicit their involvement in achieving higher levels of enterprise security through information sharing and co-operation.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

30 % 

Strategy and Planning:

Provide oversight and strategic direction for the implementation and enforcement of Data Security and Privacy program surrounding PCI compliance and HIPAA/GDPR regulations.  Ensure the ongoing integration of information security with the business strategies and requirements.

30%          Deployment and Execution:

Responsible for implementing, managing, and enforcing information security directives as mandated by PCI and HIPAA/GDPR regulations and standards.  Works in conjunction with other Information Technology staff members to install, configure, support, monitor, and track all security and privacy related initiatives.

15%          Business Relationships:

Lead efforts to establish, develop and maintain business relationships with key internal and external partners to improve information security within the organization.  Ensure that the Security procedures are in compliance with PCI-DSS and HIPAA/GDPR regulations and requirements, and aligned to accepted information security industry standards.

10%          Education and Awareness:

Lead information security awareness and training initiatives to educate workforce about information risks.

10%            Communication and Reporting:

Facilitate communication upward and across to provide project status, justification for variances, and technical information (architecture, design, configuration, documentation and implementation objectives).  File the required reports with all external agencies as required by PCI and HIPAA/GDPR standards.

5%              Other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Information Technology.


Knowledge and understanding of security technologies including:

• Cisco Switching

• Palo Alto Firewalls – Architecture and Management

• SIEM Configuration and Management

• FIM Configuration and Management

• AVDS Configuration and Management, including server and workstation hardening

• IDS / IPS Configuration and Management


• Active Directory Architecture and Management

• Enterprise WAN Architecture

• Content Filtering Management

• Encryption Controls Planning and Management

• Antivirus

• Malware analysis


•             Demonstrated security assessment, risk analysis, gap analysis, auditing, causal analysis, corrective action planning, and compliance assessment experience.

•             Demonstrated experience in security operations with respect to server and network systems, web applications, and/or databases.

•             Proficient with PCI Security Framework.

•             Familiar with other Security Frameworks to include ISO, NIST, COBIT.
