Data Center Facilities Technician
Honolulu, HI | Long-Term Government Contract
Pay: $33/hour
Security Clearance Required
Bishop & Company is seeking a Data Center Facilities Technician to join a long-term government contract in Honolulu.
In this role, you'll help support and maintain the physical infrastructure that keeps data center operations running efficiently. You'll work with both CAT 5 and fiber optic cabling systems and gain valuable experience in a secure government setting.
What You'll Do
- Install, repair, and maintain CAT 5 and fiber optic cabling systems
- Support data center infrastructure and connectivity requirements
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment used in cabling installation and maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve cabling and infrastructure issues
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with government and industry standards
- 2-4 years of experience in data center, telecommunications, network cabling, or related technical environments
- Experience with CAT 5 cabling installation and maintenance
- Fiber optic experience is strongly preferred
- Secret Security Clearance eligibility
- Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification within 90 days of hire
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a secure, mission-focused environment
