This role is responsible for a variety of functions, including medical billing and re-billing, payment processing, collections on outstanding accounts, records retention, handling medical records requests, and providing general administrative support.

Medical Billing Representative
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Representative to support our billing operations. This role is responsible for a variety of functions, including medical billing and re-billing, payment processing, collections on outstanding accounts, records retention, handling medical records requests, and providing general administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Respond to billing inquiries from patients, clients, and insurance carriers

Manage incoming calls and provide excellent customer service

Update accounts and rebill claims, statements, or invoices
-
Process credit card payments and document account activity
-
Contact payors or patients for additional information

Reconcile billing and resolve claim discrepancies

Review denials, resubmit claims, and verify insurance eligibility
Qualifications:
Required:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum of 6 months experience in customer service or public contact
-
At least 6 months of medical billing or collections experience, or successful completion of Billing Externship
Preferred:
-
Experience submitting and/or processing medical insurance claims
-
Experience with alphanumeric data entry
-
Previous experience with Xifin billing software
Additional Information:
- Status: Temporary Full-Time On-site
- Length of Assignment: Temp-to-hire
- Hours: Must be available on Mondays through Fridays between 0830 – 1700 for 8-hour shifts
- Pay Rate: $20.00/hr
- Location: Halawa, HI
- Parking: Street parking
- Pay: $20.00/hr
