Correspondence Specialist
Bishop & Company is seeking a Correspondence Specialist to work for a local medical organization in Honolulu. The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines. Prior medical experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Processing requests for written communications from various teams to members and providers in accordance with regulatory, governmental, and departmental requirements in a timely manner.
- Completion of verbal and or written communication requirements to member and/or provider via fax, mail and/or phone calls
- Documentation of verbal and written communication within the respective clinical documentation systems
- Submission of the written notification to letter print shop via web application
- Assist with operational intake activities to include processing faxes and taking messages via call center
- Respond to inquiries received via outlook distribution regarding written notifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- Must be organized and detail-oriented,
- Good time management to meet deadlines
- Ability to edit work for spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors
Additional Information:
- Job Type: Temporary Opportunity through 12/30/2023 with a possibility of extension.
- Pay: $16/hr.
- Location: Honolulu
- Parking: Not provided
- Hours: 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM, (Monday-Friday) + overtime as needed
