Campus Finance Assistant
Bishop & Company is seeking a Campus Finance Assistant to start ASAP! Position will be responsible for providing accounting and administrative support to the campus finance office. This role includes processing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with student account management. Will assist and collaborate with campus staff, students, and parents to ensure smooth financial operations and exceptional customer service.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Verifies and processes invoices and payment requests accurately and timely.
- Prepares and maintains master vendor and student account files.
- Reconciles statements, prepares journal entries, and ensures accurate general ledger
adjustments. - Assists in the preparation of bills, invoices, and bank deposits, and ensures accurate
recording of transactions. - Tracks and reports on accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accuracy in financial
reporting. - Prepares monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and assists in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Monitors financial aid awards, manages collections of delinquent accounts, and processes accounts sent to collection agencies.
- Provides exceptional customer service to staff and students, and parents through multiple
channels (in-person, phone, email). - Resolves inquiries related to billing, payments, and account discrepancies promptly and
professionally. - Collaborates with other campus departments to ensure billing accuracy and resolve
financial issues efficiently. - Maintains, replenishes, and balances change funds.
- Processes miscellaneous payments and bank adjustments, ensuring timely reconciliation.
- Supports campus administration with general administrative tasks as needed to contribute to a positive school environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting or related administrative functions.
- Basic knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, journal and ledger postings, and reconciliations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to resolve conflicts constructively.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and adapt to change.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliable attendance.
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to support teamwork and collaboration.

- Pay: $30.87/hr DOE
