Call Center / Customer Experience (CX) Agent
We are seeking Customer Experience (CX) Agents located in Hawaii who are team-oriented, empathetic, and customer-focused. Agents will serve as frontline support for individuals contacting the State of Hawaii Department of Health and Human Services. Incoming calls are for initial intake and assistance for individuals and families seeking benefits, including food stamps and financial assistance.
Due to the nature of the calls, ideal candidates must demonstrate strong empathy, patience, kindness, and a calm demeanor, while maintaining professionalism during high-volume and sometimes sensitive interactions.

Mandatory Requirements
- Applicant must own a computer and have reliable WiFi
- Access to a quiet, private space to take incoming calls
- Previous customer service or call center experience required
- Calm, pleasant, and customer-service-oriented communication style
- Professional attitude when working with the public
- Proficient in MS Office and comfortable using multiple applications simultaneously
- Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate web-based systems
- Ability to enter detailed call notes into a helpdesk or database system
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confident assisting callers over the phone while navigating web applications at the same time
- Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Must have Windows 11 or later, or macOS 14 Sonoma or more recent
- Google Chromebooks are not supported. Unable to use Chromebooks.
- Must have minimum 8 GB RAM and 16 GB of storage
Additional Information
- Job Type: Long-term temporary opportunity (6 months) with strong possibility of extension
- Pay: $22.15/hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Hours: Full-time
- Location: Remote (Hawaii applicants only)
- Background check required prior to starting
