Job Description
Bishop & Company is seeking an enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to become an essential part of our client’s team! This is a 100% on-site position with our client in Aiea.
Position Summary:
This role provides comprehensive administrative support to the department and management team. Responsibilities include scheduling meetings, organizing employee events, preparing and distributing reports and documents, and tracking contracts and agreements. The position also supports reference laboratory billing and invoice accuracy, manages updates to the Test Information Library (TIL), and serves as a liaison for laboratory support and test code coordination. Additional duties include handling standing laboratory orders in the Laboratory Information System (LIS), maintaining department supply inventory, and assisting with special projects as needed.
Position Details:
Key administrative responsibilities include:
- Scheduling and coordinating meetings, reserving conference rooms, preparing materials, recording meeting minutes, and following up on action items to ensure timely completion.
- Preparing reports for internal teams, external clients, and department leadership.
- Managing requests related to supplies, equipment, facility needs, and electronic systems.
- Entering and updating standing orders in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Collaborating with Marketing or clients to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two (2) years of experience performing administrative tasks in an office setting.
- Minimum one (1) year of direct customer service experience, demonstrating professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Experience as a facilitator or project manager.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Sound decision-making and good judgment.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software tools.

Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (Weekend availability may be required)
Pay Rate: $18.14/hr
