Job Description
Bishop & Company is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for an association management company in Honolulu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payments for association expenses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review, sort, prepare, and validate invoices and check requests.
- Prepare and mail daily check runs.
- Maintain recurring vouchers and process scheduled payments.
- Manage accounts payable files and ensure proper documentation.
- Provide support to vendors, management executives, auditors, and accounting staff as needed.
- Assist with preparation and filing of 1099 MISC returns.
- Process monthly chargebacks.
- Oversee the daily AP cycle for 55+ properties, ensuring efficiency and compliance with deadlines.
- Two-year college degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Previous accounts payable or accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
- Dependable, punctual, and a proven team player.
- Job Type: Temporary-to-hire opportunity
- Pay: $18-24/hr DOE
- Location: Honolulu, 96813
- Parking: No parking available, but we provide up to $70 toward a monthly bus pass.
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
