Satellite Communications Technician
Location: Kapolei, HI
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Satellite Communications Technician to join our client's team in Kapolei, HI. As a Satellite Communications Technician, you will play a crucial role in installing and maintaining Satellite Communications Systems across various locations.
This is a direct hire position, and the ideal candidate will have a solid background in RF, IF, and Baseband systems, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional service to customers.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain Satellite Communications Systems at multiple locations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot simple to complex problems on RF, IF, and Baseband systems.
- Replace or repair equipment as required, following established procedures.
- Open, update, and close both customer and internal trouble tickets.
- Collaborate with new and existing customers to configure necessary equipment.
- Research vendors and obtain quotes for hardware and software.
- Proficiently use various test equipment and be willing to learn new tools if necessary.
- Familiarize yourself with the teleport infrastructure and connectivity.
- Understand all RF LO frequencies and frequency translations.
- Create and modify drawings in Visio.
- Provide support for sales opportunities as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree, Military Training, Tech School Training, or equivalent experience and technical training totaling at least 3 years.
- Must reside on the island of Oahu.
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Teams, and Excel.
Job Types: Full-time, Direct Hire
Salary: $50,000 - $73,000 annually
