Program Specialist (Part-Time)
Bishop & Company is seeking a Program Specialist for a healthcare organization in Honolulu.
Position Duties:
- Perform a variety of programmatic tasks and documentation to develop action plans, coordinate efforts, and monitor progress and efficiencies.
- Communicates regularly with senior staff, program staff, and other designated contacts within the organization.
- Implements training and technical assistance, needs assessments, and identifies local and national technical assistance and training resources.
- Identifies and utilizes population health approaches in the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies and related community-based interventions or policies.
- Through the guidance of senior staff, facilitates peer learning teams.
- Gather and analyze information from a diverse set of sources and individuals to fully understand a problem.
- Conducts reviews and research of evidence-based models and promising practices and translates to support programmatic implementation.
- Accurately summarize and interpret data with an awareness of personal biases that may impact outcomes.
- Develops reports, presentations, and graphs for presentation of data and other information to technical and lay audiences.
- Assists and supports in data collection, assists with data management, and creates summary reports to support improvement.
- Proactively anticipate needs and prioritize action steps.
- Make decisions and solve problems using sound, inclusive reasoning, and judgment.

• Bachelor’s degree or five years of related experience required; Master’s degree considered.
• 1.5 years of healthcare or public health experience required.
• 1.5 years of program coordination and team work experience required.
• Desirable skills include nonprofit and public health experience, knowledge of primary care models, and familiarity with social determinants of health.
Additional Information:
- Job Type: Temporary with potential for temp-hire
- Salary: $25.76/hr
- Hours: M-F, 20-30 hours/week
- Location: Primarily remote, will report to office 1-2x/month
